Drain holes on T-Tops

Where do the drain holes on the T-Tops drain to. I think that is where the water is getting in to my car. The holes at the back of the T-Tops, just seem to run down the inside the door pilar. The front ones just seem to seap the water through the rubber

Any suggestions?

The front drain holes run along the windscreen pillars and drip out of the underside of the car ( behind the front wheel arches).

good luck,

Stuart,

if you read my post about my troublesome weekend last week, then you would have seen i had same trouble frown.gif

the drain pipe runs down the pillar, and then into a small elbow joint which runs into the inner wing.

however, the pipe and elbow joint aren't one piece, or even fixed together, they pipe just pushes into the elbow about 5mm or so

take the side kick panel off, and look/feel your way up inside until you find the pipe, then follow it back down again and see if you find the elbow

the elbow part is very short and has a grommet attached which is where it goes through the inner wing. the external part of the pipe is about 3 inches.

a very crap design, but you can put the pipe back into the elbow blindly once you have it sussed

In case your rubber pipes are blocked, get a long piece of thin cable and slowly pass it through untill it becomes unblocked.

Worked on mine, just remember that it's rubber and so don't force it.

Same problem....passed wire through them. Also on advice from the forum got some Autoglym rubber restorer and treated all the rubber around the targa. I also noticed the front plastic trim at corner of windscreen was loose, this seems to seal the rubber to body of car near the drain hole.

This sorted the problem out...good luck!!

Same advice as everyone else really. I helpes my brother Tony (AVA300)unblock his drain hole.

When you do check under the wheel arch for the pipe make sure its pointing downwards. My brothers was pointing upwards! Hence the build up of water under the ttops.

Easy job good luck.

just 10 mins ago found that the t top on our Z is leaking. Theres a small drip falling onto the left hand part of the passenger seat. Cant see where its coming from, and as its tipping down i dont wanna take the top off to look incase it drops a gallon of water in the car wink.gif

My T-Top is leaking actually through the T-Top some how and not through the rubber. The water is dripping from inside the hard plastic lip at the front of the T-Top inside the car.

Any Ideas where that could come from?
