I was hoping to find an ichi man down the back of the seat when I got mine, but no such luck! I did find a receipt from 7-11 though...

Yep found a 1 yen and a 10 yen coin when i replaced the front seats yesterday. Gonna put it on ebay - lol.

Same here mate me too found Yen, long time.

Stuck it on me keyring for that authentic look. lol

I found yen under hidden under a pannel of my old import Supra

Nothing in the Zed, though (but it is a UK car  )

Now this may be total b0llox but I remember reading somewhere that the Japanese are very superstitious people and leave a coin in their cars for good luck - hence I left the one I found in the soop where it was........

Think I read this in the same place where I read that the front grill of all Japanese cars appears to be "smiling" in order that "a happy car will ward off evil spirits"

Anyone elses heard this or am I hearing "those" voices again

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

yep it's is a superstition with the coin under the seat. I have also left mine where I found it :). You never know

It wouldnt surprise me. There are rules on how a Japanese garden should be set out. The path has to go a certain way so evil spirits will get lost in the garden and never reach the house.

I found two coins and a giant firework match type thing! Assume its some sort or warning flare

That'll be the warning flare (red?), should clip in on the side

of passenger footwell?

Also found a few coins in mine, about 15 to be exact!

Crappy valeters out there!

I'll leave my Credit card under there then! :x:

100 something (presumablyYen) popped out from under the seat in the Eunos just before I sold it. Will the evil spirits target me, or the new owner?

Hope youve removed it, (the flare not the coin) as i wouldnt like to gess how safe having a 13 year old explosive in your footwell will be!!!!

I found this little lot under my seats, i removed them from where they were, but put them in the ashtray, have i upset the karma of my car now, or am i safe as they are still in the car???

I wouldnt of minded but my car was brought over here in 1998, and I didnt buy it till 2002, but in the 4 years the previous owner had it he didnt find these gems.

I also found two japanese chewing gum wrappers, what looks like a japanese reciept or post card, (not sure as i cant read it!!) and two bottles of nissan brake fluid with jap writing on it.

Guy who had it befor was into cleaning then

I'm gonna check my import later as its only been in the country a year, so good chance there'll be some goodies.

If I dont find anything, can someone give me some yen so I dont feel left out :(

according to yahoo conversion, 10yen is just short of 50p, so 1 yen is 0.004978 of a pound

Firstly, in your pic, the blck plastic bar at the top of the pic is from the centre console, should fit just above your radio ;) lol :D

I found a small handfull when I removed my drivers seat about two months ago, about the same time my engine problems started  Do you think this could be the cause of said problem????
