ECU advice needed

What ECU should a mildly modded jap TT Auto use? and what kind of performance increase could be expected?

Say with SS decat, bovs, boost controller, Blitz filter.

I have seen a few copy JWT chips on Ebay for around £60 which would require resoldering the chip in the ECU, which wouldnt be too much of a problem as I have a spare ECU.

Reason being one of my workmates got quoted £500 to get a chip fitted by superchips and was told to expect a 60bhp power hike :slap:?

avoid superchips on our cars - not got a good rep on z32's

60bhp increase is from upping the boost, which is the main reason for chipping it

I can personally rate the JWT chips (esp. when partenered with jets) but as for getting them from eBay... guilty as charged! (good price tho)

Get an SE "type" chip as it makes the JWT ones feel like stock again.

JWT seem to be very conservative and designed for U.S fuel.

How much do SE type chips cost & where from?

Any1 have any other recommendations?

Come see me matey :)

So what extra premium does your insurers charge for chipping? Mine wanted about £300. Or do you give em some money anyway and drive around with no insurance?
