Turbo Timers

Any good?

Should I buy one?

Blitz or other make - I like the 0-60 and Mph on the Blitz?

How much, any deals?

Thanks

Tim

Tim, I have the blitz one fitted and would recommend it smile.gif The 0-60 and stuff is ok but is not very accurate wink.gif The main job though is to keep the engine running after the ignition is turned off to let the turbos cool down. I think the blitz is a bit easier to use than others......

Hope this helps,

Andy

had a thought about these today, is it not a pain in the arse when you pull in for fuel? cos the guys near me rush out if your engine's are running.

Vijay

Yeah, it is a bit but the turbos still need to cool down even if you're filling up biggrin.gif You can also override the timer. Before anybody asks, nobody can nick the car because as soon as the wheels move it cuts out biggrin.gif Good idea eh smile.gif

CheerZ,

Andy

Nope, feck em or get the gas some where else wink.gif - It can be a pain in the ass in conjunction with immobilizers (the ones that lock all your doors with a beepy thingy), as they obviously cannot immobilize a running engine. Live with it tho. I personally wouldn't like the idea of leaving my car running for 2 minutes if I wasn't stood right next to it or sat in it anyways!.. and think of it this way: what is one of the biggest concerns when buying a 300zx, you got it, worn out turbos/seals. If a car has been fitted with a turbo timer it a least tell someone that the previous owner had at least good intentions in fitting it as all it really does is allow turbos to cool.

You may have noticed I have rambling on somewhat, this is because only once every 12.8 months does a question on this forum occur that i feel i can answer wink.gif

Glen HKS Turbo Timer Beep Beep every second Lewis.

I have a Clfford Alarm/Imobiliser fitted. The supplier was able to integrate a turbo timer into the alarm, which is switched on from the remote control.

Works fine, locks the car and then imobilises when the engine turns off.
