I think the guys mean that 3 spokes are a little old hat. I don't think 3 spokes look good on anything and certainly not on a Z IMHO. But each to his own.

see now i don't like yours :tongue: , ther just a bit too much, i like my wheels to be pretty simple. id love a set of th veilside ones (from nemesis 350z) but i dnt think i can afford 650 quid per wheel :shock:

know what you mean about prices of rims tho. apparently these ones to buy are 800 quid each!!!!!!!! fookin ridiculous. Wouldnt choose em meself but as they were on the car........ and seeing em on I luv em !

Did you paint your calipers yourself? I want to exactly that i.e. drak blue with white or silver Nissan logo.

 

Did you spray / brush the whole lot at once and then pick out the nissan afterwards or try to mask the letters first and then just lightly sand & laquer them?

It was pretty easy. Copious amounts of brake cleaner followed by a good going over with a Dremmel with the brass brush head to get everything off back to clean metal.

 

Then *cough* Halfords enamel in a blue that was similar to my car colour painted on with a brush. I didn't avoid the logo or anything and then just removed the enamel from the logo using the Dremmel and brass brush.

 

I haven't lacquered them - didn't think about it really.

 

I use *cough* Halfords wheel cleaner occassionally on the wheels and of course it oversprays onto the calipers and seems to do the job of keeping them bright.

 

I think it's well worth doing, although I was VERY tempted (and still am) to get them and all the associated metalwork (track rods, steering arms etc) chromed like an American hot-rod.

They are advan wheels, they do a 3*2 spoke. 3 are silver and 3 are black, realy looks nice on the car.

 

And at least they dont look like thoes ferrari wana lookalikies wheels that normaly end up on the cars. Honking piece of poo the are.

I've never seen a 3 spoke design I liked TBH.

I think they are Yokohama Super Advans (18x8.5")

 

I reckonised the car and the bloke who owns it created this website http://www.z32.com/index3.html So if i'm wrong about the wheels send him a email as i've already checked the site for ya.

 

He lists Dunlop tyres So do Yokohama make wheels then?
