Just refitted my engine in my 89 tt auto after 2 new heads and a pair of turbo`s, and took care on removal to mark all the pipes plugs etc.

 

However, got several pipes that i`m unsure off, any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

 

1... Drivers side, 2 metal pipes runing along the side of the plenum, about 5mm in diameter, connected at bulkhead but where to at the front end ????

 

2..... Where does the single wire, with the black plug from the air-con pump go to ???

Thought I had marked everything but made a boo boo off these 2 bits !!!

Easy ;) Top metal pipe goes to the small line coming out of the bottom of the drivers throttle body pointing towards the wing :) Bottom line runs onto the turbo inlet pipe (hard black plastic pipe going to turbo from under headlight) - you should see a small brass nipple on the pipe :)

 

The single wire from the air con compressor goes to a wire that runs down from around the relay box area - just have a good hunt around ;)

Pipes all fitted and no probs (as yet)

 

Rebuilt the engine and had 4 bolts left over, all 8mm and couldnt work out where they came from, tried for hours and couldnt remember.

 

Then the wife reminded me that the bonnet wasnt bolted on yet !!!!!!!!!!
