How long should it take a mechanic to remove the plenum?

he needs to take it off to fix the water leak at he back of the engine!

he rekons 2 hours to take it off

then fix the water leaks

then 2 hours to put it back

 

seems quick to me

is it about right?

its going in on Thursday to get done so any advice welcome

It's possible, but you need to have experience to do it that quick.

 

it's probably easier to remove the gearbox.

sounds about right.

Removed mine recently took about 4 hours to remove and about the same to replace.

 

If he can do that in 2 hours make sure he gives you a fixed £ for the job :D
