Hey guys,

I'm considering getting an ALC fitted to my import TT but would like to know how any of you have experienced the difference in shift-performance. Also, is £240 too much for a new one? I thought I saw one advertised on here (many moons ago) for about £90?!

Let me know pleaZe.

Cheers,

Danny

I want one aswell please, thankyou!

I sold mine for £90 and it was third hand. As a unit it does what it says on the tin but only at full throttle - acts completely normally the rest of the time.

Also, if your 'box is on the 'well run in' side, the ALC will accelerate wear on the 'box. I suggest trying one if you can (it's a 10 minute fitting job) and see whether you think it's worth it.

Mine arrived from Japan ready fitted in the footwell so I have no idea what a Z is like without one...

I like my auto box is all i can say.

what does it do? the ALC that is...

Evidently nobody knows, but it works with your gearbox...LOL!

Automatic Line Controller

Gives sharper shifts when you've got WOT(wide open throttle) e.g. foot welded into the carpet!

Not 100 per cent sure why you need one though, with O/D etc. But I have read good things about them. But like Misseur Hairsy(thinks that Leo means he's a wanker evidently, could mean Leo the Lion?) says can put more strain on the auto. box so be careful and maybe better to test first to see what you think.
