My cars seams to be hitting a restricter about 7000 when I drive it hard,but when i take it up slowly this does not happen .Running with a JWT chip no boost jets ,done the pcv's in last 3 weeks but promblem was there before.

Are you sure you mean 7000rpm ! You shouldn't get beaten just because you can only got to 7000 instead of 7200 or 7500....

erm how about change gear at 7000rpm and then you won't have a problem ;)

it's happen twice today the revs are about 3500 and then it is like you hit a restricter so any ideas

i'm no expert at all but people talk about a faulty autobox ECU sometimes...

lol sorry mate, told u i was no expert. hope u get it sorted anyway.

probably no use but i have a similar prob. but mine is at the end of 4th gear and about 5000rpm in top. feels like a speed restrictor but if i come off then back on it lets it go a bit further and so on. eventually it gets to the real limiter at about 7300rpm in top. is this right? Also, at 100mphor just over, my speedo stops reading and drops to zero. this makes the PAS revert to its lighter "town" setting and is quite a shock sometimes when cornering hard at these speeds. any ideas? cheers. si. :duffer:

I had the same limiter problem. Got it chipped problem solved.
