A Downing Street spokesman has confirmed that in order to meet the conditions for joining the Euro the phrase 'spending a penny' is not to be used after the 31st of December 2001. From this date the correct terminology will be 'euronating'.

 

I suppose then we can all get hold of fiat 500's and drive them into the crusher and get 10 euros ?

Well, if you are gonna be like that, fiat 500 regularly sell for the same price as zx's, hehe and are a bit rarer.

hahaha, I own a Mitsubishi RS 450, that is why I cannot afford to own a zx, cos I wouldnt sell my Mistubishi to own a zx, I love it too much. I know enough about exhaust design thanks very much, obviously HKS and company dont know enough, cos what is the point in putting on larger tail pipes than the rest of the exhaust diameter, hmmm, Max Power style methinks.

Variable boost, safe up to 2.3 bar though.

0-60 in 3.8

0-100 in 8.8 (not quite achieved these figures yet).

Granted the gearbox i have in is quite short ratios, but who wants to go more than 130, I could get a gearbox that would see me further up the MPH numbers, but I dont need it, cos Im happy dmolishing stuff up to 100, and 100 is a stupid speed to go on the roads, anyone who does that doesnt deserve to drive, I keep mine to the track.

During a brief moment that I was on ANOTHER forum I read a post from one of the guys on there. He was out with his mate in his EVO and spied some guy on an R1...giving it LARGE! Went flying past him at 152mph...now that's what I call sport...LMAO!

And explain to me how you know the diametre of my exhaust as you havent seen it, and if HKS dont know what they are on about then why are they so reputable?

 

Oh and tell us about the gear ratios in that evo 450 cause they have a rather special setup, and if you dont mind me asking whats the top speed, and what is the little red button on the steering for?

I know HKS are reputable, very good company indeed, I thought we were just giving sly digs at each other.

Gear setup, nothing rather special, just a homologated dog engagement low ratio setup (cos its for rallying) strengthened of course.

Little red button on steering wheel? Maybe someone decided to put the Anti-lag switch there, maybe the horn, its a steering wheel after all, I obviously dont have the same one.

Top speed isnt that high, I havent took it for a top speed run, 3700rpm equates to around 75mph (the fastest I would go on a motorway), and on track I tend to keep my eyes on the black stuff 8000rpm limit, so if I took it to that then it would be going quite fast.

I still have no scanner.

I have no problems with school kids at all, I was merely just regressing back to school when *everybody* had petty fights and picked on people for no reason. It is a generalisation which everybody uses when someone is acting childish, that is all.

I think zx's are an excellent car so I often visit this bbs, its just that some owners insist on starting 'handbag' sessions, which I will always rise to, all these things are said in jest, but I do stand by my principle of not slagging other cars off for no reason, just cos the owner of the car cannot afford/may not like/may not justify owning such powerful engined cars with (relatively) high insurance, (relatively) high running costs, high fuel bills etc.

Exceptions are boy racer crews who insist on driving like knobs all them time. Some are OK, and take a lot of pride in their cars and drive *sensibly* on the road, a lot of them dont.

Don't forget, I posted this up for some light amusement.

I was gonna go and have a nosey on the lexusclub forum last night, some guy off there, his Mrs. is after a 200sx so she'd been posting on the 200sx forum. Right laugh, those guyZ were hungry for it! Until her boyfriend posted about his 170mph TT Soarer...LMAO! Wind-up maybe, but bloody good laugh watching them young whipper snappers gettin' sucked in by it!!!

 

Best bit for me was when he told them that his car made light work of Twin Turbo Supras...made my day that! Don't ask why? Complicated!!! LMFAO!

Could of questions on the Mitsi :

 

1) How does the anti-lag system work ? Sounds interesting.

 

2) Is it actually the gearbox which is low ratio or the final drive ratio ?

 

3) You mentioned a top speed of 130 mph and that the car does 75 mph at 3,700 rpm with a 8,000 rpm limit at which you tend not to look at the speedo. My calcs would suggest this leading to a top speed in the order of 160 mph rather than 130 mph. I thought that rally bred cars were geared to pull to the red line in top gear - doesn't this suggest that there is insufficient power or, alternatively, that the gear ratios are not low enough ?
