Sideshowbob- got me propshaft bearing winging its way over from the States this week.

Did you get Brad to fit yours or did you have a bash at it yourself? I was thinking of having a go myself as I am now a bit short of dosh. But I guess you got to get the car up quite high to get under it. What do ya think- easy job? I've got a mate whos got a pit in his garage so that may be an option.

Got all the gear to do a service as well + my EGR valve is suspect so I chucked that in the basket as well for good measure. Is that easy to fit?

As always- advice for a newbie most gratefully accepted

Cheers

Hi mate, I did this the other day with a little (or rather alot really) of help from someone on here.

It was not a bad job to do.

You do have room to work on it with teh car on axle stands. You have to drop the zorst down a bit first. You have to watch the bolts though. Mine were stuck solid so ended up snapping them off and drilling the remainder out. That was a frustrating setback.

I am sure there is a FAQ on doing this somewhere. It is easy enough to do. Just gotta be patient with some of the things. Removing the heatshild can be a right pain!

You will probably need to have access to a vice as well to remove the old and fit the new bearing. Also a decent Puller is a great help.

Where abouts did you get your bearing from? I got mine from Z1 motorsport in the US. It cost me $75.00. Thought that was very good. It is official Nissan too!

you do make it sound easy. At least I know what I'm up against now.

Got the bearing from Courtesy Nissan for $108. Mike wanted £129 for his.

Got a load of other stuff as well which I am not sure if cheaper + had to pay $60 shipping and £50 import duty at this end :(

Still, very good service from Courtesty

Thanks for the advice.

Wow! your shipping was cheap. I had to pay $160 for mine. I did get a full set of KYB shocks aswell though.

Good luck with the bearing mate.
