well well well.. what a weekend...

things never go quite to plan do they !

decided that saturday was the day that i would install my traction control, and luckily Bob was visiting so i could call on his expert soldering wink.gif

before moving the car, i noticed a little puddle just behind the front wheel, eek.gif look under the car, and the front of the chassis is wet, and it's a clear greasy fluid confused.gif have a look around in the engine bay and it looks like a leaking brake master cylinder mad.gif so a call to Darren the mechanic sees me ordering a new cylinder and appointment to fit when it arrives.... 160 quid or so frown.gif

started to strip stuff down, and got the back seats and trim out, no problem. biggrin.gif

pulled the ecu and started to run the wires down, and horror of horrors... i have soaking wet underlay on the passenger side eek.gif

so, slight diversion from original plan as i remove passenger seat and investigate frown.gif

the whole front floor part of the passenger side underlay is wet, but not the sides or the front, behind the ecu confused.gif

finally find the problem as the t-top drain pipe not connected into the little piece that diverts outside the car. what a stupid design, why doesn't the pipe go straight out in one piece mad.gif

after sorting that out, everything else goes smoothly cool.gif and the testing is fun biggrin.gif

still getting some tire squeal doing donuts on 0%, but will investigate that another time, as nearly new S02's are not the best donut tyres in the world..... rolleyes.gif

on sunday, Bob and i install my alarm pager, well... Bob with a bit of help from me tongue.gif which goes pretty well, and all works fine. got a nice triangle of red LED's flashing away now cool.gif we also fix the alarm to pick up more entry points, as the installer who did it before i got the car was obviously too lazy....

all in all, pretty damn good weekend, and many thanks to Bob, cheers mate.

and will have to look into the damn server, find out why it is going slow....

i think it is under attack !!

Hehehehe, make sure those LED's drain your battery, or that a plane dont try using it as runway lights.

Or the perminate red glow in the car might make people think that it is some sort of whore car or something wink.gif

That reminds me that my pager doesn't work (the aerial wire fell out!) and my exterior proximity sensor still doesn't work properly... D'oh

think we need to give Craig a prize for the best use of smilies smile.gif

Craig or indeed anyone with TC, have you changed any of the TC settings?

I changed some of the settings, other than the launch rpm.

I don't understand most of it, but I added %2 slip for corning, just to see the difference, I think!

I shall be putting it back soon to see which was best for me.
