I got two second hand HKS SSQV BOV's, one even with the Japanese instruction leaflet ! but I unfortunatly can't read a word of Japanese :confused:

 

There is an adjustment nut on the back and I'm sure it's meant to be set in some way. Any idea's guys ?

 

I've also been looking at some websites on the fitting and there's a valve of some kind in the vacuum pipe (looks like an 1inch wide flying sourcer). Is this a non-return valve ? IF so should the arrow point towards the BOV or away and where would I purchase such a thing ?

Straight through mate. I think the valve is some kind of dampener.

So does that mean that you undo the screw to make them louder?

Depends which way the spring is working. Generaly you wind the screw in to make them louder, But this will cause the dumping sound more harsh and it will be shorter.

Mark the original position with some tipex or something and have a play around with it.
