How do the rear speakers come out? I need to tighten up a few screw as one of them is rattling.

Standing outside the car (sounds stupid but easiest to explain) reaching over the speaker grill pull far side back towards you, "squeezing the grill". As you do this lift the side upwards and the grill should pop up. The screws holding the speakers are then visible when the grill has been removed.

Terrible explanation but I hope it helps.

Simon. :D

Marvellous - that worked! :) Just gotta replace them, they are completely knackered.

JBL do 6x4 2 ways - £49 from Halfords and they are good

Direct replacement - they just screw in like the stock ones :D

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I got those halfords speakers. Im not a loud thumping music person so a straight swap was good. Much better than stock.

They sound like the jobbies I need! Ta!

What wattage are those ones, because I've got Longmill 180 watt's in the rear and they sound crap!! Have already got the JBL's in the front and thay are ace :D

You get a better sound with round speakers iv'e moddified my pods to take 5.25" you get the loudness from the 4 on a 6x4 this my not make any sense but it's difficult to explain.

To remove is a very big job as all panels overlap so start with the panel which is on the back of your center panel (fogs) then remove each panel round till you get to the speaker one.

I can't remember, think they're 180w too but JBLs are probably better quality speakers

Did you keep your stock rear amp wired in? I replaced my head unit with a JVC 4x50w and kept the stock amp. I now have to switch the fader more biased to the fronts as the rears are fekking loud :) They do sound good, though - way better than stock. As Stuart said I'm not a loud thumping music person either so this is a top upgrade for not a lot of cash or effort
