I fitted some porterfield pads last weekend. Coated the back of them with copper ease and also the caliperridges with copper ease.

 

The bloody things are are sealing like pigs on the slightest touch. Took them out and gave thena good clean and still squeeling.

 

I'm thinking of ginding the egdes down very slightly so they are not so square.

 

Anyone else had a bad case or Brake squeel with these pads ? If so what did you do ?

 

Thought I'd just mention that apart from the squeel these pads kick ar$e. The car brakes so much better than the kaky EBC red stuff I had in before.

Stu,I have used these pads for 4 years now,and they have NEVER made a noise,first I used the stock caliper ones and then for the R34 calipers and never had a problem with them. :confused: :confused: :confused:

do you still have the shims in?

 

I don't as none were supplied with the calipers. ( still no noise)

no shims here either.

 

 

 

mine are squeling like a pig bit embarrasing pulling up in a sweet car with squely brakes :( got brembo discs and ebc pads and have just started squealing after 2wks of being fitted.any suggestions as we have both got this prob
