If the police wont do anything, maybe you should take it into your own hands. If they cant help you why should they half him if you get him back?

going to work on that mate..... Police are looking into it as there is some circumstancial evidence ie my dad reported the guy for setting fire to a load of rubbish in the field and he threatend to do my car if he did. see where this is going...

that's the truth!

Similar thing happened to my wife. We caught the person who did it, and they confessed. Waiting for it to go to court, they set fire to a flat. Went to court, charged with arson, but our case for criminal damage wasn't pursued, "as it wasn't in the public interest". We had to claim off the insurance, no money offered from anywhere else!!

Simon.

always the way with things like that. good job my no claims is protected.

My thoughts exactly

Not involving a car but the same lame assed attitude the police take to cost codes and protecting the innocent.

I run a tennis club and we have recently been geting hassle from kids throwing bottles, bricks, stones etc. Finaly mannaged to catch one of them in the town center after arun (fit tennis players vs lazy scum). As I left one kid with a mate and continued after teh others a gang of 15 or so teenagers with a few 16-17 thrown in put my mate in intencive care and fooked up his kidnies.

Took 45 minutes for the police to arrive, 25 mins for an ambulance and the police didnt want to do fook all about it. And now they have a bunch of kids who know they are untouchable running around the town square causing mayhem.

Untouchable for how long we ask orselves

thanks Sgt C, yeah it can be fixed, i think? windscreen makes it look worse than it is..... i know i shouldn't do anything to him, but u can't help wanting to. But talking to my mate last night and thinking about it everything that has been damaged by the little **** really needed to be fixed. ie. windscreen was scratched, bonnet could do with a respray, oh and the headlight washer wasn't working too well either. so in a sick and twisted way he did me a favour.....

Deve8uk, that's not a good thing hope your mate is ok?

naa. makes me laugh though, bet ya a grand if I put my foot down some ******* cop will be sitting in a layby and catch me.

This generation seem to have no fookin respect for other people or their property these days and I often find Myself asking - "Why?" I think it's because no-one can lay a finger on badly behaved kids - Parents, Teachers, the Police nor the Local Authorities. Lets face it guys if we were back in School and you knew there was no punishment, there'd be nothing stopping us doing whatever the fook we liked and that is exactly what's happening in this Politically-correct, fooked-up Country. If we're setting an example of ideals then we've failed miserably in my view. In how many other Countries do you see these unruly tw@ts hanging around the streets? Only the other week - here in Wales I had some p1ssed 15 yr old tw@t jumping all over Shaunmac's Z outside my house. This Government really needs to wake up in my view cos the situation ain't gonna get any better.

Yet you get the #1 of the head teachers asociation saying its all the parents fault? Some, yeah sure but not all. Its a general society problem that cannot just be pinned onto one select group.

Sorry to hijack and very best hopes for a favourable return from the loss ajusters.

Nope, sorry, gotta disagree. It's 100% the fault of the parents - they ARE society afterall. It's they who brought the little 'darlings' into the world, and they who are supposed to instill some form of discipline and manners to their off-spring, not sit them in front of the bloody TV all sodding day and night until they are old enough to be able to use a front door key. At which point they can fook off out of the house and annoy someone else.

Teachers are there to EDUCATE children in academic subjects, not to teach them how to behave in 'civilised' society.

Sorry to reply to the hi-jack, and I also hope the car and the 'problem' is fixed soon.

The Ass Hole :xxx: from the repair shop doesn't want me to get my windscreen repaired as the cost of the repairs could be more than the value of the vehicle, meanwhile i have a fooking hole in my screen and effectively an unsecure car!!!! I give up! only owned the car a month too.....

Buddy, all is not lost. What insurance are you with because most insurance companies won't touch your no claims dicount. Ive got a new screen arriving next week. Its cost my insurance comp £1500 fitted from Japan and all i had to do was pay £60  and that was just a spider crack from a stone. Don't loose faith!!! Hope everything turns out ok. Remember what goes around comes around!!

Get this, two months ago got the car broken into, cought a girl walking away from car, cops nicked her, she said at first she was with the guy and didn't know his name, then later confessed who he was so they charged her and got bail, she then failed to apear for bail and is still on the run and they can't find him, all on CCTV cam but abit dark, not good watching someone break into ya car, i would put it on her for all you to watch but not to sure how to, took him 3 mins to get into the car due to tinted film, all this happend 4mins before we got back to the car. i i'd seen him he wouild be in alot of pain right now

yeah, i understand that, no claims is protected too. i used to work in insurance and my other half works at an insurance brokers too so i know all the ins and outs, prob is the bonnet is dented and scratched the bumper is cracked and needs replacing so does headlight washer oh and a new headlight too. plus the respray, might come to more than 60% of the value of the vehilce which means a write off as it is not economically viable to repair.... what a load of :xxx: i say. Well the assessor comes to see it Thursday....

So if he comes along and writes it off, even though its cosmetic would you be able to fix it yourself?? or will a report be used as a visual document to other insurance companies. Just wondering! Soz for hi-jacking

I agree with you 100%. My mum and girlfriend are teachers and every year more and more is expected of them, even down to the fact there are now classes which try to teach people how to be good citizens. Isn't that they jobs of the parents? They are meant to teach children how to be good people, what is right and what is wrong, how to behave, but now teachers are expected to reverse 9 years of bad parenting as well as teach them maths, english, science, geography etc etc

So if he comes along and writes it off, even though its cosmetic would you be able to fix it yourself?? or will a report be used as a visual document to other insurance companies. Just wondering! Soz for hi-jacking

Yeah easily, no probs, i mean how hard can it be to replace a headlight, front bumper and headlight jet? got some good news though! i know someone in the claims department it would seem and they are looking after it now....

I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your car mate, that must be very difficult to accept, especially as you know who did it!

As Davemac said, some little sh!t jumped on the back of my car a few weeks back, I just happened to look out of the window at the right time. I chased a gang of lads down the road & managed to catch up with them as they ran into a cul-de-sac :xxx:. They all denied any wrong doing bar one lad, so I went up to him face to face & told him he was a little pr!ck & that I'd tear his head off if I saw him anywhere near my car. I wanted to :slap: the fooker but if I had I'd have been in all sorts of trouble as the lad was under 16yrs.
