yuh its a bit of cheek really, i may have bumped a few carsin reverse but he's the one who's cars ive sat in whilst hurtling backwards off of roundabouts lol.

R MR2's really as quick as a zed?? I just cant see it!!! To 60 perhaps its close'ish, but from then on surely their toast!

yeah raced a red 2.0 turbo off lights. he pulled off before me (thx autobox) but i caught up and overtook fairly easily (gave up at 70 but had loads more!!!) - and that was while i had a faulty PTU and my engine was soaked in oil (and no mods ;) )

Nah come on Adam, give us your perspective as you have driven both.

 

If I am honest, my rs turbo FELT faster than me zed but then it was silly fast!!! But watching the speedos, the zed is obviously MOVING faster!!!

i know what you mean Mark. I used to have a Cav GSi 2000 and you could feel the speed and the revs etc. but when i'm caning my ZX through the countryside on the way to my mate's in oakham - i look at the speedo and im doing about 90!!! V6s are too smooth! :)

Re the FTO......I like Redline mag's summary "...looks like it should chase Porsches but in reality it keeps up with Mondeos....." :tongue:

 

As for the GT4 and MR2 tubby, both great cars especially the GT4 (MR2 still a hairdresser's car :x: LOL) but according to road test results (stock cars, remember) the ZX is still quicker to 60 just - (GT4 0-60 in 5.9 /MR2t and ZX both around 5.4/5.6 depending on who tested them :rolleyes: ) but to 100 the ZX is way quicker at 14.5 (gt4 stuggles to do it in 17.9 and MR2t in low 17s).

 

I've raced MR2turbos and GT4s in my old Supra turbo and easily took them to 100 (they had me at 60-ish, though - couldn't pass them until 70-80)

 

Love the handling in mr2 and GT4 though......mr2 happy at 100 in the snow :x: and the GT4 is still the only car I've managed to literally get in the air. Not mine, though - I blagged one as a courtesy car from Toyota a few years back while my car was being serviced (was seeing the girl who worked at the dealer though ;) )
