High ideling

Hey everyone new to this site it's very usefull.

 

Here is my problem if anyone can help, when i first start the car it idles as high as 2000RPM for quite a while. When i does come down it sits just over the 1000RPM, is this normal? Anyone?

    It isn't normal .... but fairly common I believe.

     

    It could be a idle air valve problem. It may be sticking.
