Closeup pic needed..

Of .. no I won't be rude smile.gif

I need a pic of the left side (drivers) of the engine, showing the turbo, preferrably with heatshield off, and the associated water lines.. I'm trying to locate my water leak, and the manual isn't being terribly helpful (trying to relate those line drawings to real life when your head is crammed down the side of the engine.. not easy!)..

Cheers..

Oh and if anyone has any tips on removing the aircon compressor, they'd be most appreciated too..

Yes.. I know my back wheels *were* on backwards.. They're not now, 'k? ;)

Hi Aaron,

How do these look? I can take some 1800x1200 size ones if you like?

Thanks those are fantastic - a pic like the second one without the heatshield would be great too smile.gif

Now just to work out which of those lines is water and which are oil, and on my car, which is leaking...

Cheers smile.gif

on the picture: the left one is water.

Probably the hose connected to it is leaking

Thanks Eric.. I'll cram my head under the bonnet again tomorrow night and see if I can get at the hose clip.. It *looks* like it's leaking from the union (banjo nut?) onto the turbo, but I imagine it's probably leaking from the hose like you say, and running down the pipe onto the turbo..

So much for 5 minutes.....sorry 'bout that. Here are some two more with no heatshield in the way. The turbo was taken off the car after taking the first two pics, but it easy to see which pipes you're looking at. The water pipes are the two visible ones in the first two I posted.

Thanks for taking those Simon - they'll be a fantastic help smile.gif

Just ever so slightly easier to tell what's what than in the manual! smile.gif

Cheers again..
