yes ! , they will be out of phase otherwise.( sound crap )

live is usually the lightest colour in this case white , or the cable with the stripe on the insulation

my rear speakers came out easily , removed grille from top of speaker ( push in towards middle of car ( not down ) and lift up grille , then its just 4 screws speaker out , new speaker in roberts your mothers brother

sillen

I bought a pair of JBL 6x4s from halfords last year. IIRC it took me about an hour to do the complete job. :hyper:

They sound way better than the stock items and all for £49. I think I saved a potential fortune on a full install upgrade.

Oh and I agree with earlier posts, the large connector is +. IIRC the factory fit speakers have + and - etched in the connectors, so just mark which wire is which then reconnect the right way to your new speakers.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Yeah, mine too :x:

Running a 4x50w CD head unit through the stock amp fekked the standard speakers in 2 days :D

Richard ;)

wheres the stock amp located ?

heh, I think he meant built into the head unit :D

I have kept the standard Nissan amp that powers the rear speakers connected. Therefore when I ran the 2x50w output from the amp built into the head unit, the Nissan amp boosted that signal. The new head unit is more powerful than the stock item so the sound signal was too much for the stock speakers :D

Sounds good now, though :hyper:

PS stock amp (uk cars, not sure about imports) is somewhere in the boot......

Anyone got any idea what rating you need for the rear speakers if using the standard UK head unit

I took my speakers out a while ago and weekend just gone i put some Infinity's in problem being was that their were four wires going into that big connected so i used the two small ones which i assume by reading the posts is wrong so why are there so many and which ones should i of used.

Also whats plus and whats minus.
