i have just started a 300zx twin turbo after its been stood for a year and half it started first time but i think engine is missing what should i do? change oil and filter and the plugs or leve it running for a some time? :rolleyes:

the same sort of thing happened last year to me, my turbo on one side had siezed , might be that?

Start on more obvious stuff - I'd drain the petrol out and refill it, it doesnt last forever :) And yep, oil change might help I guess.

so what do u do if ur turbo is siezed ?

I think i would proberly check PTU , if the small pins have corroded there could be a bad conection?

Power Transistor Unit. It's like a distributer in a "normal" car, only it's a solid-state device that switches 12V DC to the coil packs on top of each spark plug. You'll find it bolted onto the drivers side of the cam-belt cover.

Do the simple things first as said above - Fuel, oil and clean all the contacts, take the plugs out and give them a clean too.

Don't want to be nosey, but why has it been stood for a year and a half??!!? It's been standing for all that time not driven?? Problems with the car, or you not able to drive or something?
