Has anybody changed an aerial mast? A new one is a little pricey for me. Any help would be much appreciated

Where can you get the masts?

I have just done this, got one fron Wessex garages in Bristol in 7 days, cost £51 inc VAT.

Pain to do, but went OK in the end.

Just one point, do not try and undo the plastic bit at the top where the mast goes into the body work, the bit with grooves each side of the mast.

Once the whole assembly is loose just remove single screw at base of tube connecting the tube to motor body and pull the outer tube off to take out old drive and then reinsert new.

Found this very helpful when I did mine

If you have to remove the complete assembly you can only do it if the aerial mast is down. If it is stuck in the up position you can push it back down if you remove the aerial motor which is held on by a couple of small philips screws. I had to do this as the last six inches or so had snapped off the end of the nylon drive cable and you have to pull the whole thing to pieces to get the bit out.

Got my replacement mast from MJP

Hope this helps
