Could some one please help i have just bought my 300zx and want to put some dump valves on it but im not certin if i need 1 or 2

You need 2.

They would replace the stock recirculating valves that do a better job anyway... LOL

they do, however you lose valuable metered air everytime you hear the woosh sound, Id stick with recircs, Im thinking of putting my Turbo XS back to recircing rather than dumping to atmosphere

I quite like the sound of loud recircs. Is it possible to do a straight swap with the standard ones for after market ones?

Yes if it comes with a fitting kit for the Z.

 

If not you can replace the 2 pipes to the throttle bodies with solid pipes (as supplied by Smithy) and plumb them into there. You still need to plug the old recirc holes though.

 

by the way...

 

Blow Off Valves = Noisy

Recirculating Valves = Silent (as fitted as standard on Z's)
