For the past week I have been experiencing a fast idle up to 1.5k instead of the usual 750/800, which is most anoying in an auto ( NA by the way).

Checked Yellow connector to rad. Cleaned it and all ok (Elec fan does not come on unless v.hot).

anybody got any thoughts!? Please.

TPS position, stuck idle control air valve, throttle position closed switch not making, air leak are probably most likely

Yeh i agree it will either be a vacuum leak but that usually causes a more loopy idle.

The TPS is easiest checked with a Multi Meter, but that would also give you a hard start.

The 'auto coke' air bypass valve could be stuck open giving you a cold idle constantly.

Or the water temp sensor is faulty.

I'm not up to scratch on these engines so i couldnt tell you where these parts are located.
