Hi!

I wonder if there is any cooling of the power steering fluid on a 300ZX TT european mod.? Behind the radiator I can see the oil cooler, but just behind the oil cooler there is also a cooler...the cross section of this cooler is about 3cm x 3cm...What kind of cooler is this?? The one of mine is leaking and its smells like power steering fluid..!

Im guessing its the gearbox oil cooler, the uk ones have them whereas the japs dont...I think:D

Auto only of course!

UK ones dont either - they use both sides of the radiator end tanks whereas the Jap ones just use one side. If its leaking beware and try and get it sorted out.

The thing you're talking about is the PAS fluid cooler. Euro models only AFAIK

That's right, it's a small cooler 3 tubes with fins attached which is fed from the Hicas solenoid. ;)

I've just stripped all my Hicas off and replaced with a proper oil cooler. ;)

Egil if you want my old one your very welcome to it. ;)

cheers Jon.
