Can someone tell me what has happened to my clutch, my clutch pedal has got no pressure against my foot when i push. Which in turn does not let me put it into any gear.

The past couple of days it was starting to crunch slightly when selecting some gears but this was not constant.

Any ideas? If so where do i get the parts i need?

Featured Replies

Is these parts expensive? where would i get them from if needed?

This happened to mine on Tuesday and had exactly the same symptoms happened with mine. John Dixon has hit the nail on the head.

I have opted to have both the slave and the master done - saves having to revisit.

If you need a replacement slave cylinder I've got a spare one you can have, totally unused, still in its box. Email me at friday76@lycos.com if you're interested.

Cheers,

Leigh.

After looking this morning I noticed that the flexy pipe going to the slave cylinder was knackered so i replaced that, after a air bleed and manual bleed still no clutch pedal.

I thought about closing the flexy pipe going to the slave would eliminate that cylinder, but still no pedal!

Is there a certain was i need to bleed? or isit either a master or slave cylinder?

Phughson - need to make a correction regarding my premature diagnosis above.

After a phonecall from Papa-Zed, it turns out that upon first inspection, the M' and S' cylinder, and indeed the hydrolics are fine, and that the problem is within the gearbox. Possibly it is broken, or the pivot lever(or summat) could be bost'.

I will know more when the box is off.
