if you remove the clocks (last 2 bolts holding them in are behind air con and light pods) and look on the back wiring diagram each is marked, cut and solder signal wire and use one of those blue clips, but make sure connection is good, for live and earth. can take a photo if you like but i need to visit my car first, will get one up here before i start nights.

You only cut signal wire, the Yellow of converter goes to the loom side Green of converter goes to speedo side

The red of converter goes to a 12v+ supply and the black to earth

They should be labelled on back of speedmeter printed circuit board

IGN = 12v+ GND = earth SIG = SIGNAL

what colour is the signal wire, as some of the info on my circuit board is in jap?

cheers

Hi, did you post the pic of how you wired in yours, Don't know if im being thick or what but trying to find the signal wire has proven trick. It's been posted that it's the yellow/green wire but there's one on each connector so i went for the one behind the speedo slightly centre of the 2 wiring clips. After wiring into that I tried the ignition and it blow something which stopped all the electrics for about an hour.

Any pic or other advise from anyone, cheers.

This is how mine was setup, seems there's a yellow/green and green/yellow, mines connected to the one with the fat yellow stripe.

This speedo convertion stuff seems a nightmare or im probably just being thick still!

Is the thick yellow with thin green strip coming from the black or white plastic wiring plug as they both have one?

Cheers

You want the yello/green wire from the loom to the convertor, leaving the other end in the plug. So you need to snip the wire an inch or two from the plug, put a crimp on it so it can be reconnected at a later stage should it need too. and use a bullit connector from the wire (loom end) and connect to the convertor signal.....simples.....

Mark are you the guy in Goring that Atlast met, if so im just down the road in East Preston, and if you want help or advice, im not bad, plus i have a fair bit of knowledge on zeds..
