New Jap Headlight bulbs from Elta.co.uk

Got new jap spec headlight bulbs from www.elta.co.uk. I got the site address from another post here. They had 55w and 85w H3c bulbs. I got 55w as a direct replacement for mine to see if they work. I hope I have got the right things.

They seemed fairly good value at £13 for two delivered and they came really quick. Better than pissing about with a soldering iron.

...but they are a different colour temperature than the old ones. The others had a blue coating on the outside, these don't. Now the dipped beams match the side lights, but they don't look so bright- even though both types were the same wattage bulbs. They work, just not the same whiteness of light that I had before. poo.

Silly question, mate but have you actually tried them in the dark yet ??

The blue coating just gives the light a white/blue glare but can actually rob the overall output, especially when we have "opaque" lenses on the projector beams. You may find that at night your lights are actually better than before.....

Richard ;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
