My Z32 is an import i find the radio signal is quite poor, is this normal? Is there a convertor or something i need?

you can buy a booster from most audio shops halfords do them go there quick because theve got a sale on (there going bust)

I think you can get band converters or something, otherwise, just buy a decent radio! probably cost the same.

Didn't do anything to mine other than get the aerial lead and its a pucker reception, using a JVC head unit, silver if that makes a difference.

the jap stereo radio FM is not the same modulation frequency band as ours

you need a frequency convertor if you are going to keep the orgional radio cd unit

i have a buck shee one ( free to good home ) going spare if you want it , let me know if you need it, it plugs in to the ariel lead and 12v power and thats it job done ,

I put in a Alpine 9812 head unit, where would i get one of these boost units or a frequency convertor ? Is it just a in line thing?

if you have bought an Alpine head unit the problem wont be with the frequency as its set up for european wavelengths , have you checked the ariel lead and connections to the head unit and ariel ?
