Turbo gauge

I just bought my first Z32!!

It has a grade A turbo gauge installed, as well as apexi boost controllers and apexi air flow cotroller.

I installed a sound system in it and now the grade A gauge stays at 1 bar, but the apexi boost controller still tells you what bar you go to.

Is this a electrical connection i have Disturbed putting in the head unit or something wrong with the turbos?

Also when i am giving her a bit of a blast, 4 gear crunches. But the 4th gear works fine driving normal, any ideas?

I would imagine if your AVCR is still reading boost ok that its a problem with your boost guage....

I take it the car feels like its still boosting normally while you drive it?

Yes, it still boosts the same when the gauge was working.

gear graunching when booting it ........simple cure change the gear box oil for some

race spec gear oil ........well worth the time and effort taken to do this simple job

steve

Thanks for the advice.

Cheers Steve

Having this apexi boost controller installed what psi can i turn the boost to?

Yeah, they all do that... change the gearbox for Redline MT-90, should fix it. Also, slow down your shift action from 3 to 4 so the engine revs have dropped to the correct amount for 4th by the time you've gone through neutral. (er, does that make sense?) Obviously this affects your 70-130 time, but hey, only marginally. ;)
