My Zed is off the road at a garage until at least 21st April, which means no Easter drives, got a wedding, so have to go in the Rover  and there's a big Zed shaped hole on the drive. Can't cope with it man!

What can I do to fill a big hole? ;)

Rent a porche on the day of the wedding and tell them it's your daily driver and that you only take the Z out on special occasions!

Could do, one of my friends also going to this wedding has a 200sx, so usually far outshine him.

However I don't think there's a chance in hell that the fiscal controlling officer (wife) would approve :slap:

Ann Summers have some things that might help if you're not blessed in that department?

My Z was off the road for ages when it was being painted etc.....lucky I've got about a thousand pics of it that I had to look at every day.

Be sweet when you get it back!

If yours can fill a Zed shaped hole then reeeespect!

Although I suppose you could always try a tailpipe.....do you love your Zed that much? :D

My Zed's currently off the road. Nothing major - just need to get a new battery for it. Not actually driven it at all since....well, certainly not this year yet, anyway. So much tax for so little use.....

I miss it, most definitely, but getting time, money, me and the Zed in the same place at the same time is proving VERY difficult.... *sigh*

I'm getting mine sorted for driving holiday through France in May.

Just hope it's ready in time. Want some great pics of it up in the Pyranees.

May need to put a trailer on it for all the wine I'm going to bring back though!

I couldn't drive mine for months because it was so illegal and dangerous

be grateful it's not your daily driver, I just resigned myself to not having it, though got a lot of support from forum members, and some of them even let me drive their zeds

Worst bit is looking at your driveway and not seeing your baby there

at least its not for months and months... i've only had mine back since 20th March.... its lovely

over the last 6 months i've driven a white vw golf or was it polo god knows...(no power steering) drove like a tank

fiat cinqequento (sorry bout the spelling) jeez that was a real come down... put my foot down......nothing happens, though cheap as chips to run

For mondeo zetec bit better, though it was a hire car and had no "good feel " about it

I appreciate very much the people who lent me their cars, though the difference to get back in the zed again  and as mine is also my daily driver, to me being back in my OWN car is just great, you really appreciate it more when it's been taken away from you.

mines been off the road for about a couple of months and i'm really missin her i go round my mums where i parked here so i can just go to dribble.

I burnt the clutch out and was havin money probs at time, so it took couple months to get them sorted now i'm just waitin till end of month so i can give Smithy the go ahead on a new one.

but on the possitive side i've been building a boot build with 2 Hollywood edges a Directed Viper 2500rms amp plus top notch speakers.

Lush summer coming with roof down you will certainly hear me before you see me.

Erm.......never taken my Z off road but I guess big chunky tyres might help......... I'm funny today.......not. :slap:

Took mine off the road at the end of last year to sort the box out and its still there in the garage. I lovingly caress it when I pass by but just aint got the time to sort it at the moment. Oh and it needs the TC putting on thats been sitting in the bottom of my wardrobe for nearly a year now! Oh and the new HID's that I got off the group buy need fitting as well!

So much work and so little time!!!

Nick

I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me!

2 Years now., To get buy I go visit her every other day with a bunch of flowers. Because I feel sooooo bad having her off the road, I buy her new toys every month. Hope she forgives me (well it works with the missus)

Just got the Zed back!

Not properly fixed, still need a pinion flange on my diff, but am on a driving holiday next week in France, in the Zed, so had to get it back.

May opt for european breakdown cover!

Now all I need is for it to stop BLOODY RAINING!!!

Matz, european breakdown cover is priceless.. If you're gonna go touring.

I did it a few years ago (in an MX3 :( ) broke down in Germany and again in France, I shudder to think of the costs if I never had the cover.

Firstly I was given a repair to the broken exhaust (all paid for!) and put up for a night in a hotel, then broke down in france. car was delivered back to UK and I was given a hire car (Laguna :( ) to finish my hols! and drive back to the UK in :) )

Yep, I suppose at least if I get it, it will guarantee it WON'T break down.

Still 70 quid or something though.

How do I cope? By kicking the ****ing thing every time I walk past it :D Unfortunately I think I kicked it a bit too hard this time :(

:D

Andy Mate - you must be the hardest person in the world to get hold of!! Been trying for ages by phone and email! Are u lightening your car to make it faster?

FFS mate unless you going to spend big bucks and not on tuning it but renewing it then just get used to it. Ihave been in the Dead Z club for a year -3 f***ing weeks when I got it back had a bit of a tweek. Got it to run properly, got it running like a real flyer and then blew the b***ard up.

Items purchased for latest reconstuction. 1 reconditioned engine, Hybrid tubs, manwell box and bits hopefully have it back and have a few weeks fun before it blows up again.

know the feeling well guys been off the road now for 2years nearly, really hate it when i see posers going round in there beemers and scoobys not forgetting the nova and corsa boys!! looking at me in my sensible audi 80, just wait a little while longer and i will be tearing up the tarmac round here well worth the wait i hope!!
