One sunny lunchtime last week I decided to get the soldering iron out and start replacing my coilpack connectors. Took a pic of how fooked my old one's were! Check it out against the nice new one! They weren't all as bad as that one but not far off! Did my injector connectors last year and have attached a pic of an old one of those too. See the corrosion and oxidisation!

I would reccomend this mod to anyone! Seeing as one supplies spark and the other fuel - just the 2 most important factors!

Only had 45 mins and did a careful 2, the other 4 next time the sun is out.

John - if you are reading this mate, do you still need a coilpack connector? I have one in very good nick, only one though!

Who was it who said Durite did those connectors. Any one got pic of their stuff?

James,

I was looking for a connector, I cracked the weatherproof cover trying to get one of mine off. Let me know the cost (including postage) I will send a cheque off right away.

Cheers,

John

No charge mate. PM me your address and I will do my best to get it off to you this weekend.

my coilpack conns have snapped - every now and then when you hit a bump in the road the car drops to 5 cylinders as the connector lifts off. I was going to put a small amount of silicone sealant on the innter bit to keep it down but would much prefer to fit new connectors if anyone knows where to get them and how much.

Jay, I know the feeling I have two tied on with cable ties at the moment - full set of new ones has been ordered by GPS for me - why not email Johnny to see if he can get some for you?

Hmm... what did you put the cable tie around? I had a look and couldn't see an immediately obvious way of doing it!

They do mate, I put them on mine last year. Only snag is that the key is in middle, not on the left. Nothing a soldering iron and a steady hand couldn’t fix. If I remember correctly I paid bout £2.50 per connector. My local supplier has these in stock if anyone needs them. They come complete with rubber boots and good lengths of wire
