Just watched him lob the new GT3 around Croft racing a helicopter (he won). His car control is fantastic  , I suppose once you have it, you don't lose it, especially if you get to drive different supercars as a day job.

I saw a program when he raced in a Lotus Exige class race. Never raced in the championship before and it was a one off at Brandshatch. Qualified 8th, came 3rd in the first race and 2nd in the next.

Of course a car beat a helicopter. A car uses rubber on tarmac for traction to change direction. A helicopter has air.!

Agreed - just a gimmick really (probably sponsored by Porsche!), but it's good to watch - some good shots of his footwork as well heel & toeing etc.

Also had Shumacher in this or last years Ferrari F1 car v Eurofighter in a straight line over 900m - the plane won so he moaned about standing water ruining his start. It went past him at 320mph

Mind you he still hit 190mph in 13.2 seconds in the car.

Does any one remember that police chase on TV when some one stole a Porsche 911 Turbo down the motorway and the chase helicopter lost him cos it was going too fast?

tiff is a tosser are are you all forgeting about him punting mansell of the track

Mansell, Schumacher, Damon Hill and all who was asked said that tiff was the best driver, the reason being........

no-one else can do a 100mph dirift then 3 doughnuts and stop dead right in front of the camera he's being filmed on!

What you dont see, is the 7 takes when he got it wrong ;) TV can make anyone look good or bad with editing ;)

tiff wrote a good artical in auto car(diamond or dog)when the new z came out.

he wrote(nissan build a tt copycat capable of a mere 150mphand the world goes mad.have you all forgotten the brusing 300zx of the 1990?now that was a proper car;

twin turbo muscle, lairy rear-wheel drive and more attitude than a truck load of tarted up tts. the 350 may be prittier, but the 300 looks harder and goes faster,so stop crowing about the new car and find a nice used 300zx)

tiff,s verdict:DIAMOND

Tiff did the Nissan promo video for the 300ZX when they first were launched.I got a vhs copy from Nissan.Drooled over it for ages, one part is when he blasts it around the Nurbergring at 155mph.Great stuff!

Well I didnt think of that

that was just a tale I got told

but the other night I saw him do a powerslide @100MPH in a scooby

and he went on to say 'just to show you that that wasnt a fluke I'll do it agin'

he did......

Makes me laugh when he does loose it though he just says calmly 'lost it there for a minute' I'd be fookin white as a sheet!

where can i get a copy of video,

Hi Vince,

Any chance you could copy that in any format?

Vijay

Vinz send it me and I will computerise it and put it up :D :D :D :D

did top gear do any thing on the z when it came out,

i would to see a z do the track on top gear to see where it would come on the leader board

this would be great to see.

Ha ha Vince, that will teach you!

Can I have a copy too!??

Its thirty minutes long

No problem. I am sure some one will host it. The full topgear 300ZX drap thing was 10 mins.

Steady on... you might get a shock. I've driven a 300 (obviously), a 350, and an RX8, and I can tell you there's no way the lard-arse can compete with the newer two. I think 350 and RX8 come out the same because the 350 is slightly quicker on the straights and exits, but slightly harder to turn, and the two factors happen to cancel on that track. That's certainly how it felt to me on public roads! The RX is WAY more chuckable and nimble.

Yup, I read that too..... :hyper:

Sir Tiff knows a good car:bow:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Ye but thats because our Z's are 10 yrs old. Now When's mine is sorted suspension wise (next few weeks) if it don't handle as good as either of the aformentioned I'll be looking at a different motor. :D

P.S. I'd love to see that video too. Get some copies nocked up and I buy one of you.

Stu, sounds like there's a market for a zed excerpts cd with all the best film clips you can stuff on there. Or better still, fill up a full dvd if you have the kit to write one.

I'm volunteering you cos I think you already have most of these files to hand (?)

what do you say?

Partly - but the extra quarter of a ton hasn't just appeared over time... and there's NO excuse for the 350!

As you know, I have plans for something similar to you anyway, but the money for that is going on an engine instead! :(

I reckon it will be good, however the quality of a lot of the stuff on the net is quite poor.

If we can get this Video (hint hint Vinz!) that would make a good addition, and then the burn out on Top Gear as well as the Old v New races.

Maybe some additional footage of trackdays, drag days or dyno days.

A drag racing day video would be good, but we really need 2-3 cameras there to make it even better.

If we go to a drag race day if any one could take a vid camera themselves and then give me the tape to copy when I get home and send it back, we could make a very good vid of that.
