Why is the rear spoiler a series1 or series 2 car?

 

Surely this has been falsely registered originally and is a 1989 to 1993 model

 

I may be mistaken about the spoiler age. I am sure the spoiler changed in 94 in the US but I have never seen any Japanese Zs with it.

 

Besides the wheels on wrong, the front lights look like a UK spec. The indicator is in the middle and not on the edge of the bumper and there is no reflector on the back of the car.. You say Import? Could it have been imported from the UK?

 

One of the best ways to find out, is look under the bonnet and see if the HICAS stuff is on the left hand side. In the 1994 spec it changed to Electronic HICAS. Some 94 spec may still have the hydrulic ones but by 1995 it surely have the electronic installed.

 

I have noticed on Autotrader, people put a description of 1996 300ZX, when it was imported in 1996 and not a 1996 spec.

yeah i can confirm that jap Z's did indeed move to the new spoiler style in '94, fugly if you ask me.

That's a funny looking 300. Looks to me like it's got smoked sidelights like a UK model, but there's a Z badge on the bonnet, not the Nissan hamburger. Hmmmm!

Its classed as an Import, but if it goes from the UK to Eire, it must be an import.

 

The front lights suggest UK as does the number plate

No reflectors on the side of the back bumper suggested UK/Euro

Z badge suggests Japanese Import, but late in 1994 it could have changed to the Z.

I cant see the interior very well but it doesnt look like the seatbelt is on the door suggesting UK/Euro.

The car is a Jap import not a UK import. I have a jap import Jan 1994 and it does have the hi spoiler.

 

I thought all Jap cars after end of 93 would be series 3 and anything in 95 is a series 5 with the hi spoiler.

 

Curious???
