fairlady sign

has anyone taken this off? mines really faded and dirty so want to give it a good clean and spray it gold. is it glued on? are ther any clips behind it that i have to be careful not to break?

If you are talking about the sign below the spoiler, mine was definitely just a sticker and it was murder to get off. There were no clips or screws but you will need to get the elbow grease out to remove it.

yeh thats the one gordon, the sign just above the left rear light, yours was a sticker or do you mean it was just stuck on? mines like a solid plastic piece. any tips on getting it of without damaging anything?

just had a good look at it and it aint plastic but metal.

had a go at getting th dirt and flakey gold colouring off with brake cleaner, white spirit and brasso (the only things i could find)

brasso works the best it just takkes for ever!

any1 know something stronger i could use, dont wanna score it so want to avoid wire wool/emery cloth/etc. might just leave it silver and not spray it gold if i can clean it up without taking it off
