April 2, 200421 yr My car is still missing and after 2 weeks at Nissan, who tested EVERYTHING, they have given up. WTF do I do now...? Is it time to move on...? I'm faced with some tough decisions. :( :( :(
April 2, 200421 yr It's not firing on a random cylinder and not every rev. So it's impossible to trace (according to Nissan). I will probably install a new wiring harness and a PTU but there's no guarantee that will fix it. I just can't believe that Nissan actually said that they couldn't fix it!
April 2, 200421 yr I just can't believe that Nissan actually said that they couldn't fix it! I can! Most Nissan dealerships just don't have the necessary skills anymore to deal with the ZX. Ideally, you should find yourself a performance speciallist. You may even find them to be cheaper, but they will definately know their stuff as all they will deal with is performance cars day in, day out. As for your problem, do you know if they have plugged a conZult to your car and done a diag?
April 2, 200421 yr Bloody Nissan dealers. :xxx: If it's random I guess it's not a specific cylinder problem, so that's most of the truly disasterous stuff out of the way! Is it OK on idle? Is it OK under load? Any smell of petrol? Do the spark plugs look OK? What were the ConZult results? (If Nissan haven't run a ConZult then shout at them...)
