I was just reading the thread about the 350z for sale and there's a comment about the advert currently showing.

I was wondering what you all thought the best ad was......

I'll kick this off by saying it was the Pirelli ad where the guy leaves his mountain home to find that his girlfriend has done his brakes. While he's fighting for control down a mountainside she's back at the house packing a suitcase. She opens the door at the sight of headlights only to drop her bad when she sees it's the guy she's tried to kill pulling into the drive..........Quality !!!

Just a side question.....was he driving a UR Quattro ?

I cant actually recall any that stick out, but I think the 300zx tt advert was pretty good for its time.

I think the majority of car ad's these days are boring as fook. INCLUDING the new 350Z one....YYYAAAAAAAAAWWWWWN! But lets face it, they aren't allowed to talk about power or performance or handling at all. It's all got to be 'practical', 'green', or 'style' information. Our legislators and pressure groups (read hysterical, dim, head-in-the-sand, job justifying wimps) have killed any excitement that could possibly be shown about cars. [/rant]

Having said that, I loooooove the Clio ad with NICOLE..........ahhhhhhhhhhh :D  :hyper: ....CUM to papa! ;) ;)

Also liked that one where the classy lady in the (Jag?) fixes her fan belt with her stocking!! ;) :)

Yes, Jag XK 120 - nice legs, music 'Move over Darling"

I don't remember that one at all!

The Honda advert where all the components knock into each other like dominoes - very clever.

Plus it's got the Sugarhill Gang's "Rappers Delight" as a theme tune!

got to agree, brilliant ad, got the whole version sent to my house on cd for some reason, oh well thank you honda

Yeah nice idea, but shouldn't car ads have the cars in them! - just think what they could have done with the RS4!

Was tempted to race one the other day, but thought better of it (at least till my new turbos are in!)

Mr Sinclair on Tomorrows World

everyone will be driving a C5 soon!! :D

does that count??

The Pug ad with the sugar fields on fire... Nah, on second thoughts, that was bloody awful. :mac1: (As was the one with the Saab turning into an aircraft.)

I like the 350 ad (doesn't the music stick in your head though?), and the promo DVD is great!

The Punto (?) petrol station / Human League ad made me wee when I first saw it, but it was/is definitely on too often.

Can't remember what it's for (therefore not really a success as an ad) but the one with the crash dummies driving into the wall is pure class!
