My car has been out of action for 9 months and spent most of that time in a body shop. Now the car seems really slow and the box takes for ever to change gear. My Volvo T5R pi55es all over it and it never used to. Gave the car a service etc before using her.

 

Had a friend look at it and he thinks that the exhaust could be holding it back. He said he's had this before with the autos on Z's. "If ya dump the exhaust of and the box works properly and car revs freely". Could he be write its showing 1bar boost but it just aint happening. :cry:

The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) can affect both the runnning of the car and the shifting of the gearbox (I ssume it's an auto). It can't hurt to adjust it anyway.

My TPS was out which caused the same prob, a quick adjust on a conZult and it was sorted.

I don`t do much mileage in mine (900 miles last year) and can say that when I drive it more often, the auto box is far better. It just likes to be driven I guess :hyper:
