Right, when u fire up ma Z u get about 4 kg/cm2 oil pressure. Bu if u rev the tits off it it goes down to just under 2 kg/cm2 and (when idle again) and it goes up and down the guage a bit. Whats going on is it supposed to do that?

The needle will go up and down as you rev the engine but dont take much notice what it reads as the factory gauge is shite if you want to know what the true oil presure is then buy a good quality gauge

 

 

Oil pressure gauges and in particular, the sender units are totally unbelievable on the ZX's. If you really want to, try replacing the sender first but personally I would say, Don't worry about it!

If you use uprated oil then this can send the unit banzai.......fit and good quality one and your worries will disappear!!!!
