Anyone know where i'm best off starting to try and find a set of UK clocks?

I tried www.intapart.co.uk already and they never came back (so can't have had the parts)..

Johnny at GPS?

Luke a the Z Centre?

Anywhere else?

Cheers.. I just removed the dodgy 6 wire speed convertor (that was, I believe, buggering up the speed sensor wire to the ECU(s)) so I want a set of UK clocks (and I'll need to get a JWT ECU to remove the speed limiter I assume?

Failing that, are there speed convertors available that actually *work*? smile.gif

se nissan are breaking a uk 300zx the clocks were there a few weeks ago coz i seen em!!!

Cheers m8 - I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if they are still there..

BTW - anyone know what speed I'll be limited to when everything is in kph?

Ta,

Az

I'll be there tomorrow and might beat you to it (joke). Dunno what you want UK clocks for anyway. Can't you count in 100mmHg rather than lb/ft ?

Think that the conversion will move your speed limiter to about 180mph.

Andy - I want UK clocks so my speedo reads in MPH rather than KPH smile.gif

I know 100kph is 62mph, but that's about the only one I've memorised.. And I'm a bit wary of going through GATSO's with a speedo reading in kph...

I've removed the kph->mph convertor you see (it was buggering up the gearbox, see the other post..)

If they're still there and you strike a deal then let me know and I'll collect 'em for you.

Az mate,

Forget Intaparts, I was there last week to collect what they told me was a UK speedo. Turns out to be a Jap conversion (very dodgy at that too) out of a completely wrecked Zed (it met head-on with a lorry and then bent around a tree). Needless to say the speedo (and converter) didn't work. Took it back and got my money back. Don't go there coz they have only Jap Z32's at the moment.

What I did was get a converter from Luke at the Zcenter - top bloke by the way. It cost £85 and is real easy to install. It got rid of my 62mph chime (which I had already removed previously but by doing so I also silenced the "your lights are on" warnings) and removed the 110mph speed restriction. It also allows the cruise control to work upto 110mph. So all said and done, for 85 squids you're well sorted. If you need help installing the device let me know.

Cheers!

Danny

Cheers Danny, I'll try that if I can't get a set of UK clocks... Personally I just hate the "mph" sticker on the clocks smile.gif

Plus my clocks go up to 300kph, which makes them kinda stupid in mph.. The needle only ever sweeps a tiny little area of the clocks!

Anyone know, incidentally, why my clocks are >300kph clocks, when other Jap ones seem to be >180kph??

Aaronjb mate I think I have seen that your 300km clocks are fitted to US models would seem strange though. Jeff TT

I did`nt realise UK clocks were becoming so hard to get hold of, I must of been lucky when I got two sets! Jeff TT
