Jap Alpine Car TV - How to Convert for UK?

I have an Alpine TVA-T017 incar TV in my 1990 JSpec NA Auto import. The TV works and is hooked up to aerials along the windscreens, but gets no TV reception because I believe the UK and Japan work on different systems.

 

However, someone mentioned I might be able to upload a reprogramming module by IR (does anyone know anything about this).

 

Optionally I could use the TV as a monitor for Consult. Anybody done anything like that?

    I had one in my first zed, i think cost and hassle outweighs the gain of the NTSC (or whatever it is) to PAL conversion, if it can be hooked up for conzult then game on, sure danny can advise you on that!

     

    If not it might need a new home in the bin!!

     

    And please please tell me that your cars not blue and reg no F217 UJN
