Man gearbox cleaning

Ok just given 1 from my cousin and it needs cleaning how do u do it outside and inside and what do u use?

    Unless you are 100% certain that the box is good then I suggest you get it checked over/refurbed first. Then you won't end up with a rapidly deteriorating 4th gear synchro - trust me !

    From what he told the box is good. But if i want to check it wont i have to put it on the car and see or u mean opened it and see the condition from the inside
