Boost vs Temp

most of us guys have increased our boost sometime or other. My query is that if you increase the boost, you also increase the air temp. By increasing boost to say 13/14psi using stock ICs.The air temp will more than double, this is the last thing we need. would you get more performance and less detonation running the boost say at 10psi.

 

hot air is bad.

    Not sure about more performance from so much less boost, but if you're detting then you definitly aren't getting the best out of the car!

    Its just a query I have. Iam not detting, but there must be a perfect balance for boost vs temp. If you up your boost from 14 to 28 you will not get twice the performance. You will defo need to change the ICs I know this.
