Ok what is it about using kitchen appliances to do mods on our Z's.

 

 

Re-Trimming the interior - Using an iron to flatten out the original panels, so that we can mark out the new ones.

 

Fitting the EL rear panels - Using the oven to warm-up the panel.

 

Modding the rear lights, for the '99 spec look - Using the oven to warm the light units up.

 

 

 

How many more mods do we do that require us using kitchen appliances?????

 

 

PS - See i avoided any comments regarding using the wife/girlfriends/mother's kitchen appliances :tongue: , I aint getting into that ;)

when i build engines I wash the bits in the dishwasher. :)

If you put Optimax in the microwave, it increases it's octane rating to 99 and prevents detonation. Make sure you put it in a microwave proof container though. Otherwise it would be dangerous.

I often get my missus to make me a cuppa and do a bit of toast whilst working on my Z, does that count!!!!

Hey Dave, you forgot the grease proof paper when ironing the interior trim. Otherwise you get all the old glue stuck to your iron, and you know where that goes don't you ?.

Work in progress, as they say, gota do the door cards yet.

I have used the kettle to get the ice off my windscreens on all my cars in the past. Secret is ...not to hot. i.e not freshly boiled :nono: , as i found out on my Z and succeded in cracking my windscreen ! ! :cry: :mac1:

Never happened to any of my other cars (bangers !) Sod's law again i suppose !

The sink works quite well if you need to fill a bucket to wash it too
