headlight panels

hi

 

i am sure that many of you have a variety of healight panels. are they just supposed to look good or are they supposed to have a function like allowing air through them!!

 

I am asking because i have just bought a headlight panel and it doesnt have any "holes / vents" to let air through or am i supposed to get the holes / vents made before fitting!!!!!

 

what have you guys done!

    to be honest most of them are just for looks but a fair few have vents angled in such a way that they force air over the top of the engine.

     

    What panel did you buy ?

    bought a stillen V2 ducted panel. i guess to one has to get the angle JUST RIGHT to ensure the air goes over the engine. i`ll probably leave it as it is.
