Does anyone know of anywhere around Cambridgeshire that would be good for servicing of my Zx once I purchase it. Especially someone to fit the propshaft support bearing?

Stu,

whereabouts in Cambridgeshire are you ?

I had mine fitted at JS Holmes in Wisbech St Mary.

I have also used Arriva in Peterborough. I would highly recommend Bob Ford at Arriva, but they aint cheap (£55/hour)

Wayne at JS Holmes is a very competent mechanic, and they charge £40/hour.

I work in St.Ives and live in Hemmingford so wisbech or Peterborough are fine. Who do you think would be best for the propshaft support bearing?

they are both okay.

i had some trouble with JS Holmes over a faulty OEM clutch, which dragged on for a few months, but that doesnt mean they are bad....

Bob at Arriva knows his 300's and skylines very well, which is why they charge a lot for his time (plus they service the cars that are used by magazines etc.. )

Wayne at JS Holmes is a very good mechanic who knows his stuff.

up to you, depends how much you want to spend really. get a price from both, and ask to talk to the mechanic to find out what is involved, then go with who you get the best impression from...

Craig,

I take it you live in the area. It's handy to know someone locally.

Cheers

Stu

sorry Stu, i moved away, i escaped, whatever you want to call it...

my parents still live in Chatteris though, so i call in from time to time

i'm in south london now, but when i'm going that way again, i'll give you a shout, should be in the next few weeks actually.
