Have recently done the jap h'lamp mod listed on

this forum (extra wire to light casing). Used 100w H3 bulbs.

Worked fine for 2weeks, although it did drain the battery,

tickover went down to 600-700 rpm when the lights were on.

The passenger side light has packed up, still works on

high beam, no low beam. The bulb is fine, even tried another

one just in case. Have checked fuses.....all fine!

Anyone got any ideas what it could be?

100w bulbs are too high for your wiring, only way they would work would be to add a relay I think. And even then you would still have the heat buildup problem of the bulb in the assembly.

Cheers

I heard the wiring is not to fault on the lighting for 100W bulb. They just over heat because they are in such a small area.
