I got a Toad Ai606 with Perimeter sensors on both my supra and Zed.

Brilliant alarms, but when it rains they both start chirping - this can go on through the night and sounds like bloody crickets!!!!

Ive taken both back for setup and they're fine in the dry, but when it starts raining at 3 in the morn and you hear both cars chirping it winds you up big style

I have a Serpi Star, which has been absolutely fautless for about 5 years. However, the skill of the fitter is critical I think.

i have a clifford concept 300 its a good alarm apart from the proximity sensor is to sensetive, this can be a pain when it goes off and nothing has been near the car, but i had the same problem with a clifford eagle 2 so used a shock sensor instead of a proximity sensor and it worked fine after that.

I went for an Avital (made by Clifford) Maxx3 total closure jobbie.

It has all the features of the Clifford without the complexities and price. It's been good so far.........................

With window closure added it was £350 all in IIRC.

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

If you do a search you will find loads of people with Clifford alarm problems, and loads of praise for Toad...........go with toad.

John

As AndyP says, it's down to the fitter. I had a Toad fitted by an arse. He didn't hide wires and even left the boot without a sensor, and not forgetting the switch he put on the hood that didn't touch the switch!!!

If you can, get Bob (look in traders section) to fit your alarm.
