When fully warm the revs oscillate between 700 and 900 rpm at idle. Any ideas what it could be.

She was idling at 2000 rpm until a fixed a vacuum leak cause by a missing O ring on the balance bar which I only found out when replacing the fuel hoses to get rid of the stink of petrol first thing in the morning.

Disconnect and reconnect your battery to reset the ECU. Quickest fix in the world and it works.

Mine did this, but only sometimes, then it turned nasty and wouldnt run, turned out to be a bad temp sender to the ECU. Might be worth a look.

Any ideas what the normal temperature reading for the ECU should be. According to my Conzult it never goes above 68C but I have a nagging feeling that it shoulf be higher than this

Mine tends to fluctuate between 78C and 87C depending whether traffic is free flowing or I'm stuck in traffic.

Sounds like it might be worth getting a new temp sensor ...
