Seems expensive for a G-Reg, I'm not saying the car isn't worth it' it's just that they don't seem to be many around that price.

 

You'd be better checking the Sale forum.

In todays market 6K is a bit over priced, there are a few decent ones in the for sale section for around that price and even cheaper!!

sorry to ask these questions, but my mate has no internet access.

 

Done a search and found out that there is no real performance differences in jap and uk cars, so the only other question I have this.........is the 300zx going to be reliable?

 

My mate says he does about 40 mile a day. 20 in traffic and 20 clear motorway. So if he got himself a low mileage (50K ish) stock 300zx is it going to be reliable?

You'll need a crystal ball for that one mate!

 

Regardless of the low mileage you must think that all components are now 14 years old.

 

Does your mate know his way around cars in general?

He's car knowledge is not great I don't think. What are some common problems he might encounter?

I know I'm tempting fate but, mine is a fairly stock UK car ('93) with 110K miles, I just have an induction kit, Intercoolers and Exhaust. I do around 50 miles every day and have no problems at all, just don't talk about the cost in fuel!

Is 2 x 2 a two seater?

2 seats (front) + 2 seats (rear). Rears are small but can get someone in in a squeeze.

buy mine for 5k or less !

 

never let me down once in last 2 years, FSH, UK (cheaper insurance)

 

common problems like power steering/radiator/battery and disks have been sorted.

 

car is 100% stock apart from uprated front disks. this car runs like a dream.

He is an import dealer based in South East London. Either that car has been for sale a very long time or he just uses the same photo for every black ZX he sells.

 

His cars have always seemed cheaper than others, I looked at a black GTO and (maybe this??) black ZX about 15 months ago.

 

Something didn't quite feel right about either one, so I walked away..... :rolleyes:

 

Could be I'm just too fussy, though...LOL.... :rolleyes:

Mate of mine has a z 4 sale, it's tt auto import.

Red, twin powerflow pipes, oil cooler, blitz filter (all new).

It's a g-reg, T&T, not sure of the mileage. No leather.

Generally good condition. He'd probably take £3k'ish?

usual things to go on early g reg cars are water pump, most hoses, water temp sensor/wiring, dodgy PTU, cruise control, drivers window falls out, well thats what happened to mine, but most bits are diy stuff if u handy with a spanner, im not and managed to do inlet pipes, rear water hoses, bottom rad pipe. all the pipes had basically perished due to age/heat, but its a fun hobby and wouldnt give it up for anything else

I took off the drivers door panel to upgrade my speakers, the

glass has rattled ever since! Had a power steering pipe perish,

rad side tank split! Never mind, it's all good fun! :nono:

That's the guy. If my mate goes to view this 300zx I will tell him to be careful. I guess it's never going to be easy buying a 14 year old high performance car.
